Just a ¼ mile from Ventnor, this single storey property has easy access to myriad attractions and outdoor activities such as riding, fishing and golf.
Great for family holidays, short breaks and midweek escapes, this cosy, two-bedroom property is on the popular Westfield Bungalows site, close to the seafront on the outskirts of Ventnor and Bonchurch. Ventnor is a Victorian seaside town situated on the southern side of the Isle of Wight, right in the heart of the famous Undercliff, much of which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Visitors will find a great variety of established local shops, restaurants and public houses serving locally caught fresh fish and locally brewed ales. Sheltered from the north by St Boniface Downs (owned by the National Trust), Ventnor benefits from its own micro-climate which provides an ideal haven for a variety of flora and fauna. The neighbouring village of Bonchurch lies just to the east of Ventnor and is renowned for its literary connections; writers and poets such as Dickens, Stackpole and Swinburn all resided here for a time. Dickens remarked, ‘the prettiest place I ever saw in my life, at home or abroad'. Brian's Cabin is a semi-detached bungalow with a raised decked area where you can sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. The property enjoys views over the large lawned communal gardens which stretch out across the site.
The location offers great views out to sea from the cliff, and it is a short walk down to Bonchurch beach, the fisherman's cottages and the Ventnor's popular sandy beach. Explore the rock pools, enjoy great local walks and easy access to the many attractions the Isle of Wight has to offer. Outdoor pursuits on the island are well catered for and include horse riding, fishing, cycling, paragliding, water sports and golf. There are numerous attractions for all ages across the island including The Needles with its chairlift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay. You can also visit Queen Victoria's favourite holiday residence, Osborne House and its gardens, as well as Blackgang Chine (the oldest themed attraction in the UK), Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Tapnell Farm Park, Carisbrooke Castle or the sailing towns of Yarmouth and Cowes.
